Are you a 3 lifepath in numerology? Then you’re here to experience personal power! Notice how ‘3’ looks like a mouth or a kiss? That’s because it’s about expressing new ideas, using words for healing and bringing positive change to the world. 3 also looks like a bird flying sideways, just for a fun challenge!
Here are my tips for shining your light, based on over 3,000+ psychic readings I’ve delivered since 2011. In my numerology workshops, I teach, ‘Seeking company (or want to party)? Find a 3′, because 3’s are renowned for their helpful natures and joyful hearts. As I wrote this, the curtains at the library lifted, bathing me in sunshine! Plus, it’s 1:11 pm (the code for new beginnings, which adds to 3.) Feels like this post has a mind of its own 🙂

What’s a lifepath in numerology? It’s your life purpose, or spiritual job description. We change paths each lifetime, depending on what we want to heal. Knowing your path, can help you to find your tribe, make decisions with confidence, and accelerate your success. It’s an amazing boost to self-awareness. Please note, a lifepath is only 25-30% of your forecast – your names, pinnacles, challenges, personal years and other factors count, as does free will (see my notes section). I cover these in readings, workshops and webinars.
How do I know if I am a 3 lifepath?
Find your lifepath by adding your date of birth from left to right. Reduce the sum to a number between 1-9, or 11, 22, 33 or 44 (the latter are Master Numbers). Unlike some numerologists, I don’t reduce the day, month or year before adding, as this removes important detail. Here are the combinations for 3’s – 12/3, 21/3, 30/3 and 39/12/3 lifepaths. Other lifepaths are described here
For example:
6/4/2000 = 6+4+2 = 12/3 lifepath (mainly children).
30/08/2017 = 3+8+2+1+7 = 21/3 lifepath (both adults and children – this is my son Charlie’s DOB).
31/12/1949 = 3+1+1+2+1+9+4+9 = 30/3 lifepath (mainly adults but some children have this path).
8/6/1996 = 8+6+1+9+9+6 = 39/12/3 lifepath (mainly adults – seems to be a rare journey).
Each type of 3 lifepath is different but related (like birds of the same species, who need different habitats or diets). For more info, check Dan Millman’s book The Life You Were Born to Live (see my reading for him). Your lifepath age is a turning point (thanks for the tip Max Coppa), so someone with an 12/3 lifepath may find their confidence and calling earlier than a 30/3. All 3 lifepaths are likely to have important changes around the age of 3 as well. FYI, I am a 29/11/2 lifepath who learned numerology at 29 and began seeing 11:11 after a breakup on 11/11/2011 when I was 30. I also had big wake up calls at the ages of 11 and 2. 3 is about imaginative solutions*, the idea that dreamwork takes teamwork. The more 3’s you have in your numerology (see notes section), the more you came to heal your 3rd or Solar Plexus/ Manipura chakra (‘lustrous gem’). This wheel of energy is located at your navel, your connection point to power (think of a baby receiving nourishment in the womb). It includes your core muscles/ abs, digestion, pancreas, adrenal and liver functions. Its healing colour is sunshine yellow or gold.
Spiritually, it encompasses your intelligence, ego, self-confidence and ability to see the bright side (physical and metaphysical vision). This ‘inner fire or sun*’ burns best when you are full of enthusiasm, lighting up the world with truth and conquering your fears. *Hence the term, sun or Son of God.
Where our first chakra is about security (Divine Masculine), our second chakra is about partnerships (Divine Feminine), our third chakra (Divine Child) is focused on curiosity and innocence. It represents a child, who’s not afraid of the dark or death, because they knows they are loved and protected in every way.
*Double 3 (i.e. 33) Lifepath Albert Einstein said “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.” He’s also thought to have said, ‘creativity is intelligence having fun’.
Pros of being a 3 lifepath (these qualities tend to increase if you’re healthy and supported)
-Charming and fortunate (3’s have a bright energy and smile, which you never forget – think of Audrey Hepburn and Duchess Kate) The phrase ‘lucky duck’ and the animal ‘duck’ even add to 3!
-Generous and self-sacrificing (my friend Suki, literally gave someone the shirt off her back because they were cold)
-Determined ‘go-getters’ (many 3’s maintain busy home lives while juggling intensive work and social commitments)
-Bring people together for good causes (3’s can get people talking and celebrating life, whatever their age or cultural background)
-Organised, efficient planners (some say that 3’s are ruled by the Jupiter, which is the heavyweight planet you can’t ignore)
-Clever, authoritative and witty (higher qualifications or technical skill are common – they are eager students who love to share)
-Loyal friends (they answer when you call in a crisis, even if it’s been years since you last talked or met up)
-Thoughtful (my sister is an artist, who not only sewed her wedding dress, she made our bridesmaid’s outfits so we’d all look stunning)
-Playful, musical and creative (kids and animals love them, however this may be less obvious if the 3 is still healing their ‘inner child’)
-Brave and quirky (I used to live in a house of 3’s and 33’s, who run a circus business called Threeworlds. Not only did their good vibes help me to fall pregnant, I met my friend Butterfly there, who sent me a sign from the afterlife)
-Wonderful mimics (they can explain anything to anyone, even if they just learned it. Almost every radio announcer I’ve read for is a 3 or 33, which makes sense as they have to think on the spot and are natural performers).
Cons of being a 3 lifepath (these qualities tend to increase if you’re stressed or lonely)
-May fake happiness by using willpower and busy-ness to cut off from their feelings and body cues, leaving them open to bullying, abusive relationships and coping strategies like emotional eating. They can be impatient, resulting in shortness with others who can’t keep up. See my post on why high flyers need a safety net.
-May be too sceptical of Spirituality, especially if they were raised in religious households (see my upcoming Perfect Potion workshop on 23 Feb – details coming soon). This prevents them from becoming truly gutsy and confident because they defer to ‘middlemen’ instead of working with God directly. See my post on superstition vs intuition
Remember, a 3 is here to heal their inner child. Until they reparent themselves and ‘grow up’ they can keep attracting bossy people.
-May keep taking on work until they crack, leading to anger, meltdowns or fault-finding. The phrase, ‘offer a hand up not a hand out’ comes to mind – remember, martyrdom creates tragedy, because it comes from a lack mentality). -May not leave enough energy and time for their dreams because they are cheerleaders for everyone else. This can show up financially, because money flows where credit and praise go. Investing in DIY type classes rather than constant ‘expert’ advice is beneficial.
-May hoard or doubt their work (especially art, music, writing – even their kids or businesses), because they’re concerned others will think they are not good enough. As someone who makes a living from readings and blogging, I can assure you – it’s not about being perfect, it’s about being consistent. Experience is the mother of confidence, so be gentle. -May try to control their appearance or surroundings so that they can appear non-threatening and keep certain people close (please note – ‘the people who matter, don’t mind and the people who mind, don’t matter! Be yourself and fr33 yourself – that’s not a typo.’)
-May want to be ‘right’ so badly, that they won’t try new things or listen to help. Big red flag! You can be right, or you can be happy. If you know a lifepath 3, who seems overly quiet or serious, it’s time to give them a hug and attention. They thrive on encouragement.
Consider Abby Wambach’s words, ‘ Failure is not something to be ashamed of, it’s something to be POWERED by. Failure is the highest octane fuel your life can run on’ – her commencement speech to the Barnard College Class of 2018 is amazing. Abby is a 26/8 lifepath. When you add 8+3*, you get 11, the number for spiritual partnerships and wake up calls. 3’s can learn a lot from 8’s about resilience and abundance thinking. Conversely, 8’s can learn a lot about inner joy and philanthropy from 3 lifepaths.
*I add lifepaths when calculating compatibility, please note this is just a starting point. In a reading I’d also consider other aspects of someone’s numerology and palmistry, as well as counsel people on free will and Soulmate contracts.
Bonus – Why You’re Seeing 333, 33 or 3’s (e.g. on clocks, receipts, licence plates)
The number 3 appears, when the Universe wants you to leave behind victim or hero thinking and be a creator/ narrator. Lifepath 3’s show up for the same reason – if you’re meeting lots of them, it’s time to step up and express your brilliance with a cheeky grin.

In my experience, 333 is an Angel Number or Spirit Sign, for Solar Plexus and Ego Healing. It adds to 9, the number of conclusions, seeing the big picture, rewriting history and letting go. 333 is a reminder from our Soul and Spirit Guides, to think, feel and act positively until you reach your goals. To give birth powerfully!
In the Tarot, ‘3’ represents the Empress and fertility. Authors like Doreen Virtue say 333 is related to the Ascended Masters. I feel it’s broader. It’s about choosing hope over despair, focusing on the good and having the guts to say what’s right. At its best, 3, or Solar Plexus energy combines intelligence, humour, communication and discipline to light up the world. In numerology, FAMILY, BIRTH, PASSION, BABY and ART have a 3 vibration, backing my idea that 333 is about expressing your ideas in public, and standing out.
Did you know? The word DOCTOR also has a 3 vibration, as 3 is about focusing on solutions over problems, using words to heal, and being the authority in your life. Out of balance, 3 energy shows up as too much ‘inner critic’ or ‘upset child’, and not enough ‘outward genius and self-parenting’. No wonder TEACHER adds to 33…

Please note, there are many ways the number 3 can influence your life! It can appear in your:
-lifepath (as above – you can be a 3 lifepath or have a 3 in your lifepath e.g. 13/4, 23/5, 32/5, 33/6, 34/7, 35/8, 36/9 lifepaths)
-day of birth (e.g. 3 March, which gives you two 3’s in your DOB)
-name/s (e.g. Claire adds to 30/3, Mary adds to 12/3, James adds to 12/3) C, L, U have a 3 vibration (see system)
-pinnacles (a calculation that tells you the theme of each decade), destiny, major cycles etc.
-personal year (every 9 years you go through a 3 year, when you feel ‘like a 3’) Find your personal year
-daily life e.g. business name, address and so on. Living in a 3 house is great for gatherings, raising children and communication, but it may not be a clean or disciplined place. Gossip will also backfire – play positive music to offset this tendency. Living in a 12 or 66 house can promote martyrdom, but also cooperation. More on house numerology
-Even if you’re not a 3 lifepath, if you’re reading this post, you’ve probably got 3’s somewhere in your numerology, plus you could be married, related to, parents or friends with a 3, you just may not know it yet!
