A Blessing For Charlie – My Little Past Life Cherokee

It was just too cute. Hope you enjoy it! Charlie always appeared to me as a Native American girl when I was pregnant, but then showed me a dream of women in burqas as I was in labour. I’m guessing these were his recent past lives. We’ll know more once he starts talking!

A Blessing for my Son
Charlie, may you always laugh
At moments now and on your path
I’m grateful for your baby love
And choice to come here from Above

You’ve taught me how to eat those labels
On the road to brand new fables
Nothing can repress your grin
Or truly cuddly double chin

I wake up to your joy each day
It wipes out all my dreams of grey
Your brother called you in, I know
You little tailgater hero!

Two kids in 18 months is hard
It caught your Dad and I off guard
What better way to heal our Souls
Than extra stress and chubbly rolls

We’ve had to stretch and form a team
To stay on track and evergreen

Oh Charlie Bear, your crazy hair
Is a sign of things to come
I hope you’ll always say your truth
And back, not save your Mum

The Earth is perfectly okay
It’s all a giant overlay
Just heed your gut and go inside
When life is far too rough a ride

I promise this, my favourite kiss
You’ll get a second chance
So don’t hold back, there is no lack
Choose teamwork and romance

I’ll always give you time to be
My little past life Cherokee
We’ve done this many times before
Let’s teach the World to read the score
