Happy Father’s Day 2024! 5 Epic Things My 5 Life Path Rebel Dad Taught Me

Happy Father’s Day! 5 epic things my 32/5 Rebel life path Dad taught me. Find your life path

1) Evolve or go extinct. My Dad tried 72 jobs and kept going until he was at the top of engineering. I’ve switched jobs alot too. From marking Kumon, to pouring wine for Prime Ministers, to saving turtles and teaching numerology, I love a challenge. It’s why I coach people to start their own businesses or pursue their dreams, no matter what their age!

2) Create the miracles you need. My Dad almost missed on Uni due to ‘only’ being good at physics (he identifies as autistic, like me). He talked/ cried his way in and went on to get his Masters and transform the global broadcasting field.

The child of refugees, he migrated just after the White Australia policy ended, with $20 and a radio. Despite poverty and racism, he started a family and worked successfully at the ABC.

3) Kids need cheerleaders. My grandma tutored my Dad and my parents did the same with me. As much as Dad jokes he would have liked a sports car instead of bills, his actions were louder. He helped me with homework, even at the peak of his career. I’d get faxes at 9pm with smiles and algebra.

In 2011, I left my 9 to 5 to do readings so I could one day work from home with kids. I never regretted the shift. There is more to life than counting down until you leave the office.

4) Simplicity gets you far. My Dad and I love routine. We prefer sneakers, walks and health food. I’ve been called boring, but I know that steady people succeed. Genius needs safety to express itself. (Whoa – the TV just said ‘genius’ as I wrote that!)

5) Magic is inherited. I’ve written about my telepathic dad. So often, we read each others’ minds. He was always into metaphysics. My fave game was a puzzle with toothpicks. He would say what is 1+1? I would say 2, he would laugh and say no, it’s a window. Even then he was teaching me that, every time we meet someone, we have a chance to know Go(o)d. Photo below from Quora.

Thanks Dad. I turned up at your life path turning point age of 32 and it’s been a quiet riot since then. Here’s to many more sky high catchups xx

Love Sarah
