Tara is the best-selling author of 15 books of fiction and non-fiction, an experienced keynote speaker, documentary and podcast host, award-winning advocate (for human rights, the rights of women and children, disability rights), funeral celebrant and holistic practitioner.
I love Tara’s books. She has imprinted on my psyche the importance of speaking up, especially regarding feminism, domestic violence and our intrinsic rights to be heard and respected (see The Fictional Woman).
You must check out her latest book The Italian Secret, I read it in one go, it is compelling, witty and powerful*. The photo above was taken at The Brisbane Powerhouse after Tara spoke on the book at the Brisbane Writer’s Festival in October. *I felt the same about The War Widow.
Here are 5 insights into Tara’s palmistry (see second image)
1) Tara has Air/ Water hands, with high intellect and sensitivity. She’s deeply affected by her environment and the feelings of others. It’s important she protects her heart as she may attract narcissists at times.
2) Tara’s little finger (Mercury) is elegant and well formed, giving her charm, communication and intuition. It sits apart from the other fingers, denoting a love of privacy. This can also suggest a separation.
3) Tara has a square tip to her middle finger (Saturn), suggesting discipline, responsibility and an old-school work ethic. Her dedication to researching every detail of a book is truly inspiring!
4) Tara’s heart and head lines show extreme compassion and imagination, which need to be channelled into causes and projects. Otherwise she may be prone to worry and pain.
