Brisbane, I’m coming home. This mini-essay has taken me many years and tears to write. Comment on the Facebook post or Instagram post.
In 2005, I met a radiant woman on a train in Thailand. Her name was Susanna and she was an 11 life path Messenger like me. Find your life path in numerology
In just one chat, she inspired me to move back to Australia from Bangkok (where I was being bullied at the UN).
As she spoke of starting a new life post-separation with her son, I had a vision of myself in Brisbane, a place I’d loved ever since visiting for Expo ’88.
I ended up getting a job over the phone and meeting up with Susanna, my very first friend in the River City.
Sadly, Susanna died in 2022, while still in her 40s. Her last advice to me was to ‘savour every moment with your children Sarah’.
Her Spirit is in my heart as I write this. I still keep her crystal beadwork in the bathroom, so I can touch it every night before I dry the kids’ hair.
Long story short, after leaving Brisbane in 2019 partly for privacy reasons (I used to do a lot of media) + wanting to live more coastal with the kids, I find myself back in this incredible place, deeply humbled.
To be honest, I have felt a lot of shame about getting divorced and becoming a single mum. It has been many times harder than leaving my 9-5 career to become a psychic (and that was huge, coming from an Asian background).
Rebuilding our lives after leaving so much behind has taken every inch of my Soul. I feel for my migrant and refugee family who moved abroad, with far less support than I’ve had.
So, here I am. Back and ready to connect with you again.
With the 3 boys finally all in school from 27 Jan (my 45th birthday), I am excited about offering more readings, events and workshops locally, in person and online.
